Gradeworks

Reports and analytics

Use Gradeworks reports to track bid win rates, project profitability, crew utilization, and other key metrics that drive better decisions.

Gradeworks collects data across estimating, scheduling, dispatch, and field operations. Reports turn that data into insights — are you winning enough bids? Are projects profitable? Are crews utilized efficiently? The reports section gives you answers without building spreadsheets from scratch.

Available reports

  • Bid Pipeline — active bids by status, total value, and age. Shows how much work is in your pipeline and where bids are stalling.
  • Win/Loss Analysis — win rate over time, broken down by customer, job type, or bid size. Identifies patterns in which jobs you're winning and losing.
  • Project Profitability — actual cost vs. estimated cost per project, broken down by cost code. Highlights projects that are over or under budget.
  • Crew Utilization — percentage of available hours that are assigned to work, per crew. Shows which crews are fully loaded and which have capacity.
  • Labor Cost — actual labor hours and cost by project, crew, and date range. The foundation for workforce planning.

Using reports

Navigate to the Reports section from the main sidebar. Select a report type, set the date range and any filters (customer, project, crew), and click Generate. Reports render as charts and summary tables. Every report has an Export button that produces a CSV for further analysis.

Date ranges and filters

Reports support custom date ranges plus presets (this week, this month, this quarter, year-to-date). Filters narrow the data — for example, the Project Profitability report can be filtered to a single project or a specific cost code. Filters are additive: selecting a crew AND a project shows only data matching both criteria.

Did you know?
The dashboard widgets pull from the same data as full reports. If a dashboard number looks surprising, click through to the full report for the breakdown. The answer is usually one project or one crew skewing the average.

Sharing reports

Export reports to CSV or Excel to share with stakeholders who don't have Gradeworks access. For recurring reports (weekly crew utilization, monthly profitability), export the same report each period and compare. There's no automated scheduled report delivery yet — exports are manual.
